Job Title: Security Officer II
General Definition: Responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests and employees while protecting Chickasaw Nation property by patrolling and monitoring premises.
Supervision Received: Security Shift Supervisor or Security Assistant Shift Supervisor

- Patrol assigned areas to ensure the safety of guests, employees, and tribal assets through observation and reporting of activities in accordance with departmental standard operating procedures.
- Monitors and maintains control of facility access points and permitted areas of entry and responds to sounding alarms ensuring the safety of employees, guests, and tribal assets.
- Prepares reports based upon observations, information, and occurrences to ensure compliance with departmental standard operating procedures.
- Assists in maintaining customer and employee confidence and safeguards the operations by maintaining confidentiality of all information they may be exposed to in the performance of their duties.
- Complete daily check of bicycle checklist, ensuring the safety of the bicycle to be maintained by approved personnel.
- Conduct patrol duties on foot, by car, and bicycle. Attend to any parking - lot incidents including but not limited to accidents occurring on facility grounds.
- May be required to monitor the opening and closing of machines for routine repairs and maintenance to ensure the integrity of the machine is maintained.
- May be required to provide escort for the transfer of monies within the facilities.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSEducation:High School Diploma or GED
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: - Must be able to read, understand, apply, and retain knowledge of departmental rules, regulations, and policies.
- Must be able to sit, stand, run, ride multi-gear bicycle, and walk for extended periods of time.
- May be required to lift up to fifty (50) pounds based upon facility needs.
- Must be able to understand and apply oral or written instructions.
- Must be able to prepare hand written legible and type written reports in a clear concise language based upon facility needs.
- Must be able to define problems, collect data, and establish facts.
- Basic computer and typewriting skills based on the needs of the facility.
- Ability to work in environment not necessarily protected from weather and temperature changes with exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions for long periods of time.
Training and Experience: - Prior experience in Security preferred, Law Enforcement, Military, or Gaming experience is a plus.
Licenses/Certifications/Other: - Must pass an MMPI test.
- C.L.E.E.T. certified preferred but not required; must be able to complete State C.L.E.E.T. phases 1 & 2 and/or phase 4 certification, if required
- May be required to re-qualify with a firearm twice a year.
- Must become TASER certified and may be required to carry a Taser on duty as directed by departmental policies and procedures.
- May be required to carry a firearm as directed by departmental policies and procedures.
- Must possess a valid driver's license, if required.
- Must be able to attend and pass physical and written examinations of CNDC bicycle training program within 6 months of hire.
- Must be able to pass background checks and receive a gaming license from the Chickasaw Nation office of the Gaming Commission as required to work in gaming operations.
Must be able to be complete a negative result on pre-employment drug test.
