Job DescriptionJob DescriptionPOSITION OVERVIEW:We are seeking a security officer to provide for the safety and security of guests, colleagues, and hotel property in an effective, professional and guest-friendly manner commensurate with the demands of The Pierre Hotel.JOB FUNCTION, TASKS, and RESPONSIBILITIES: KEY RESPONSIBILITIESPatrol all areas of the hotel inside and outside to observe, handle and report any unusual circumstances, safety violations, theft, property destruction, suspicious and undesirable persons to prevent intrusion and other unnecessary circumstancesDocument all security reports daily and log other pertinent information including but not limited to incidents of theft, injury/illness and safety violationsComplete the necessary forms to document such occurrencesMaintain familiarity with hotel disaster and emergency policies, procedures and regulationsConduct investigations of security and safety breaches and other incidentsControl the integrity of the hotel key system by issuing, safeguarding and replacing master keys of authorized persons and departmentsHandle special requests of guests, patrons and other visitors in the hotel Must be able to execute the Deputy Fire Safety Director's duties verbatim as per New York Fire Department's regulationsQUALIFICATIONS and REQUIREMENTS:High School diploma and minimum of 3 Years of Hotel SecurityNY State Security Guard License requiredMust possess a Fire Safety Certification or able to obtain oneMust be First aid and CPR certified or able to be certifiedStrong skills in oral and written communicationAbility to communicate with colleagues and guest in a professional and courteous mannerAbility to communicate with colleagues and guest in a professional and courteous mannerSkills in operating equipment such as personal computer, software, and other
