PositionSecurity OfficerDivision:Public Safety and Police DepartmentDepartment:Livingstone Campus Public Safety and Police DepartmentReports to:Vice Presidentof Public Safety/ Chief of Police or DesigneePosition SummarySecurity Officers uphold and enforce Livingstone College rules and regulations in accordance with the Student Code of Conduct and Staff Handbook to ensure the safety and security of the faculty, staff, students, and college property. This civilian role works closely with the sworn police officers to maintain a safe college community.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesThe results you will deliver each day that matter most!
- Respond to emergency calls and report crimes
- Conduct routine patrols of the college properties
- Investigate violations to include crimes
- Assist students, staff, and faculty with building access and secure
- Render Medical Aid
- Identify and report safety hazards
- Parking management and enforcement
- Assists with special events
Education/ ExperienceWhat you will need to be successful!
- Must be 21+ years of age
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Experience as a Security Officer preferred
- Must possess a valid driver's license
- Successfully complete drug screen and background investigation
- Must be able to work assigned shifts
- Must be available for on-call or special events
- Must be familiar with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
