Job Description: The Willis Knighton Pierremont Security Department is seeking an individual to join our team as an Armed Security Officer. The responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Actively welcoming all patients, visitors and staff. Providing assistance as needed within the scope of security. Patrolling buildings and grounds; inspecting and securing windows and doors. The Officer is expected to do routine checks of the hospital and satellite clinics, ensuring unwelcome visitors or unauthorized personnel are escorted off campus in a timely manner. The applicant must document and investigate incidents that occur and respond to emergency calls for assistance to control disorderly or combative patients or visitors. Regulate and assist with traffic control, issuing parking violation notices. The applicant must provide support and assistance for Air Rescue, and coordinate traffic flow through the hospital's main entrance and ER driveways. The candidate must have at least 7 years of experience in security or law enforcement, have a high school diploma or GED. They must have a valid driver's license and have adequate computer skills. THE CANDIDATE MUST BE FLEXIBLE TO WORK OTHER SHIFTS AS NEEDED. Hospital orientation, as well as a departmental focused orientation is required upon hire.
