In this role, you will have the opportunity and responsibility to protect the safety and well-being of all persons and property on the Samaritan's Purse campus. Join us and use your skills to serve the Kingdom!Shift: This is an on-call position. Based on the need, shifts could range from 8 -12 hours. Opportunities to cover 1 and 2nd shifts, up to a full 3-5-day shift are availableA Day in the Life of a Security Officer:At Samaritan's Purse, the Gospel really is the center of all we do! We start each day with a time of devotion and spend time praying for each other, our staff, and volunteers who serve around the globe.In the role of Security Officer, you will have the opportunity to:* Maintain your personal relationship with Jesus Christ and be an effective witness for Him* Conduct yourself as a security professional at all times, creating an atmosphere to deter undesirable activity* Greet all staff and visitors whenever practical to maintain a consistent visible presence* Screen pedestrian and vehicular traffic for authorization to enter the premises* Operate various equipment, such as card access, fire and burglar alarm, video cameras, and ministry vehicles* Report hazardous conditions and follow all call-in procedures in case of emergency* Identify threatening individuals and alert local law enforcement* Be familiar with all Samaritan's Purse facilities, policies, procedures, and regulations that affect the safety and security of all occupants* Monitor activity across campus through regular physical patrols and the use of video surveillance* Control access to campus during non-business hours; open/close and secure all buildings as scheduled* Document all note-worthy activity in the shift log or appropriate incident report* All other duties as assignedCheck out why people love serving with Samaritan's Purse:
