JOB DESCRIPTIONSecurity OfficerReports to: General Manager Classification: Non-ExemptJob Type: Part TimeLocation: Holiday Inn Roberts CentreSecurity Operations Center (SOC) Officers are needed to adhere to established security operating procedures (SOP) and assist with maintaining a safe and secure environment for the Holiday Inn Roberts Centre. Security Officers must be able to work independently, as part of a team and must possess extraordinary customer relation skills. Primary Responsibilities:•Ability to be trained, comprehend and operate the latest Computer equipment. (Computer competency required - ability to utilize computers/technology efficiently)•Accurately communicate pertinent information to staff, security personnel and management•Provide courteous, respectful and pleasant interactions with guests•Possess a valid driver's license and have a satisfactory driving record (required to operate company owned vehicles)•Be capable of conducting extended foot patrols•Prepare computer-based shift activity reports, document incident reports and maintenance request reports•Handle emergency response in accordance with established proceduresQualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:•High School Diploma or G.E.D.•Ability to pass a Background Check•Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills•Must have reliable transportation•Professional Demeanor and Appearance•High Level of Integrity/Strong Work Ethic•Attention to detail
- Assists with Maintenance and Guest Services Requests
- Assists with minor IT Issues in the event of a power failure
- Assists with maintaining the appearance and reputation of the hotel
- Address noise complaints and guest safety issues
