Job Summary:Security Gatehouse Officers are responsible for the security and safety of the resort, guests, associates, visitors and vendors; and for providing exceptional service for our guests. Officers have the opportunity to interact with our guests and associates by assisting them with questions, directions, incident reports, problems and in emergency situations. They also are responsible for conducting vehicle and foot patrols of the property.Job Responsibilities:
- Handling access control at the gates by making sure only authorized individuals are allowed on property.
- Maintaining accurate logs of entering and exiting vehicles.
- Being observant and reporting any irregularities or concerns to the Security supervisors to investigate.
- Responding to emergencies within the resort as needed.
- Explaining and enforcing rules, regulations, and policies to ensure the safety of guests.
- Monitoring designated areas to recognize signs of danger.
- Warning guests regarding unsafe situations.
- Completing incident reports as needed and/or requested.
- Exercising key control.
- Supporting the front office operation.
RequirementsJob Requirements:
- 21 years of age or older.
- Must hold a current Security Class D license, in good standing.
- 6+ months related experience.
- First Aid and CPR/AED certification.
- Proficient communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in interacting with people of various ages from diverse backgrounds.
- Physically fit, strong, agile, and dexterous.
- Must have ability to stand for an entire 8 hour shift.

- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be available weekends and holidays
APPLYING THE STANDARDS OF HYGIENE AND SAFETY IS MANDATORY:
- Report to the manager any issues relating to procedures and standards or health and safety standards
- Implement, apply and control the H.A.C.C.P. method and hygiene and safety rules.
- Respect and follow the personal hygiene and uniform rules as set by Sandpiper Bay Resort
- Ensure the maintenance and preservation of premises, equipment, and materials.
