Summary Statement Principal responsibilities include working on a world class Security Operations Team, focused on protection of customer data and network traffic. Responsible for administering, and overseeing information security systems, tools, polices, and procedures required to protect critical assets. Responsible for technical leadership in the monitoring for a wide and varied number of critical information systems to detect and analyze abnormalities/problems, initiate corrective actions, and restore systems to normal function. The primary focus of this position is on the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the infrastructure and the processes required for delivering applications and services throughout the state, including those managed and operated by third parties. The candidate will improve the State's overall security posture and strengthen our overall security capabilities. Preferred Qualification Applicants who do not possess the preferred qualification will still be eligible to compete for this position if job requirements are met. Possess an associate's degree in IT Security, Computer Science, or a related field. Job Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS for Security Operations Center Analyst Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas: Possess a minimum of 1 year of Information Technology experience in an enterprise environment. Possess the ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve security issues related to network devices, servers, PCs, mobile devices, cloud services. Possess knowledge of security tools, understanding of security vulnerabilities. Possess a strong understanding of networking, security, and server systems technology, firewalls, IDS/IPS, DLP, Next-gen AV/Endpoint security, Email, Storage, Syslog, Windows Server, Identity Access Mgmt., TCP/IP. Possess a minimum of 1 year experience with security operations center services, security incident detection, analysis, response services and or using an enterprise Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) solution. Conditions of Hire Criminal background check: A satisfactory fingerprint based criminal background check administered by the Delaware State Police is required as a Condition of Hire.
