Overview
Responds to security needs of assigned healthcare facility, its agents or contractors and security personnel. Assists with the functions of physical and personal security and safety measures of members, patients, staff, and visitors. Assists with the protection of staff and property from theft or damage, or persons from hazards or interference, including the potential for violence in the workplace.
Responsibilities
Answers incoming phone calls, radios and dispatch officers accordingly
Responds to all alarms and pages – Duress, Navi-Care, Codes, Alertus, etc.
Manages and monitors all DHMC facility camera (Ocularis) systems, beacons including monitoring all CGP (community Group Practices) facilities and identified Affiliate Hospitals.
Manages and monitors all DHMC facility controlled access (C-cure) systems including monitoring all CGP facilities and identified Affiliate Hospitals.
Monitors security officer current locations and assigned patrol zones as well as for functions for CGP's and identified Affiliate Hospitals.
Monitors all radio activity of Officers, DHART, Base communications and Lebanon Police Department.
Monitors parking lots, vehicular and pedestrian traffic at all DHMC facilities.
Identifies threats, safety issues and other security problems.
Assists in the lock down of the Hospital during emergency events: active shooter, other threats.
Captures video and pictures; provide to management and law enforcement.
Assists in badging or parking administration functions.
Maintains Daily Activity Report (DAR); Initiate all Perspective Reports
Collects data as evidence in support of all security investigations.
Records, tracks and logs required security statistics – types of calls, frequency.
Creates and provides statistical data, charts and reports to management.
Identifies and reports all safety and security concerns to management.
May be assigned to work as a Security Officer.
Performs other duties as required or assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
Basic computer literacy skills
Two years of related experience required
Effective oral and written communication
Required Licensure/Certifications
