We are seeking a Security Operations Manager for our First Quality Enterprises. This is a remote role but must sit in the United States on the East Coast. As a Security Operations Manager, you will be a key leader within our growing security operations team, reporting directly to the Director of Security Operations. Your primary responsibility will be to provide strategic leadership and technical expertise to the Security Engineering team; and to deploy and manage information security technology solutions and tools. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading and developing security operations engineering teams.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead the deployment and maintenance of security tools to support cyber threat detection, incident response, and attack surface reduction efforts.
  • Collaborate with the Incident Response team to develop and implement security orchestration and automation response capabilities.
  • Conduct gap analysis to prioritize and develop security controls and tools.
  • Collaborate with the threat management team to develop proactive threat detection use cases and conduct breach and attack simulations.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to manage security product deployment and use case creation.
  • Evaluate new security tools and technologies to address emerging threats and enhance security capabilities.
  • Drive proof of concept initiatives for evaluating new products.
  • Plan, coordinate, and oversee the operation of new security solutions to manage evolving threat landscapes.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to ensure timely completion of global security initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day operations of the security team, including scheduling, goal setting, performance reviews, and mentorship.
  • Oversee and manage a team of Security Engineers.
  • Manage security technologies such as firewalls, endpoint protection, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
  • Supervise and manage cloud security solutions.
  • Generate reports, dashboards, and metrics for the security operations team and present findings to senior leadership.

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Security, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related fields.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience managing a Security Operations team or running security solutions in network/security engineering or security operations.
  • Hands-on experience (5+ years) implementing IT security controls including firewalls, SIEM platforms, Network Access Control (NAC), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), DLP, IPS/IDS, encryption, authentication, tokenization, XDR/EDR tools, and desktop virtualization security (e.g., CrowdStrike, CyberArk, Palo Alto Firewall Suite, MS Defender).
  • Profound knowledge of security technologies including firewalls, endpoint protection, DLP, and SIEM systems.
  • Experience in securing or assessing SCADA/OT systems and vendor solutions.
  • Strong analytical skills to analyze security data and trends, identifying potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders effectively.

Base pay is only part of our total compensation package, which also includes an attractive annual discretionary bonus and robust suite of employee benefits for which you are eligible to participate in starting on your first day of employment.

Base pay offered will be determined on an individualized basis and we will consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
