Position Title: Security Officer/Parking Attendant Level 1 and 2 Department: Security Reports To: Security Supervisor Status: Full-time/Part-time Year-Round or Full-time/Part-time Seasonal, Hourly (Non-Exempt) Working Hours: Varied hours/shifts, fluctuates with time of season, weekends and holidays typical Wage: $17.25 per hour Benefits: Maryland Accrued Sick time/401k/Recreational Privileges Position Summary: Maintains a safe and secure environment for guests and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Additionally, when acting as a Parking Attendant, controls the flow of traffic and assists guests, primarily during ski season peak times. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Wisp Resort is a four-season ski, golf and recreational destination resort. Because of the nature of the resort business, employees may be asked to perform other duties outside of the job description. Also, hours of operation are 24/7 including weekends and holidays. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Level 1 - NE02 • Entry level, in training, with little direct experience. • Ability to read, answer, and send emails to other employees/departments. • Ability to recognize needed resort repairs and report properly. • Ability to communicate by two-way radio and cell phone with other employees/departments. • Works in coordination with existing security staff, to develop skills needed to fill the duties and responsibilities required of a Level 2 security officer. • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. • Able to assist in crowd management at Resort events, during peak season periods, etc. • Provides any needed assistance to guests, Resort staff, visitors. • Willingness to perform other related duties as assigned by Resort Management. Specific Duties & Responsibilities: Parking Attendant • If applicable, all duties of a Level 1 and Level 2 Security Officer/Parking Attendant. • Places parking signs and barricades throughout the Resort, monitors parking in restricted areas, and provides accurate directions to guests. • Directs the flow of traffic, and maneuvers visitors to use all parking spaces. • Monitor handicap parking locations and availability. • Watching for and reporting suspicious parking lot activity. • Exhibits ability to interact and converse intelligently with guests and other employees in a positive, helpful manner. • Supports harmony and good will in the Mountain Operations Department and with all other staff and Resort departments. • Familiarity with all the facilities at Wisp Resort including locations and hours of operation. • Exhibits ability to perform repetitive routine tasks while remaining alert at all times. • Calling for assistance in either parking area accidents or guest difficulty situations. • Assists in shoveling snow and keeping parking areas as safe and accessible as possible. Qualifications: Successful execution of this job requires an individual to satisfactorily perform each essential duty.
