Job Title Security Receptionist I Requisition JR000014343 Security Receptionist I (Open) Location Hobart, NY Additional Locations Job Description Summary Summary The Security Receptionist (Escort) is responsible for escorting contractors, visitors and unauthorized personnel into areas where controlled substances are manufactured or stored. The escort works with the Project Lead to ensure all Safety and Compliance procedures are followed. The Receptionist does not act in the capacity of a law enforcement officer, and has no arrest or apprehension powers. A majority of work is performed indoors within the facility. Performs administrative duties as directed by supervisor. Job Description Essential Functions Contractors & Visitors Escorted and Monitored in Controlled Areas:
  • Provides physical escort to assigned contractors within the building.
  • Maintains visual contact and control at all time of individuals he/she is escorting to ensure that activities do not violate security policies and that workers do not have access to controlled substances, confidential information, or equipment that is not required in the performance of their job.
  • Rotates from building to building to assist in contractor escort duties.
  • Informs Project Leaders as needed of contractor activity within the building.
Administrative Support:
  • Provide general administrative support as needed including, copying, filing, organizing and data entry.
Minimum Requirements Education: Requires basic knowledge of arithmetic, spelling, English, and grammar equivalent to a high school education. Preferred Skills/Qualifications:
  • Communicate courteously and professionally at all organizational levels.
  • Ability to comprehend and carry out instructions furnished in written and oral form and deal with problems involving standardized situations.
  • Perform reading, writing and speaking at a basic level.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions: Physical/visual activities or demands that are commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job:
  • Ability to stand/sit in both internal and external building conditions. Exposure to extreme cold and heat are conditions of the position. Ability to utilize PPE. May require prolonged sitting and standing.
  • Basic eye-hand coordination.
Environmental/Atmospheric Conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job:
  • Protective clothing including uniform, smock, safety glasses, safety shoes, booties, hairnet and gloves are worn continuously in performance of the job functions.
  • Work hazards include proximity to moving mechanical equipment, exposure to active product and dust, odors, cleaning solvents, loud noise, and vibration.
