It's more than a career, it's a calling.MO-SSM Health Mission HillWorker Type: RegularJob Summary: Provides the necessary technical expertise, training, and support in the coordination and promotion of the organization's public safety and security programs. Assists in developing and implementing security training programs and auditing competencies as needed as well as conducting physical and programmatic security based risk assessments.Job Responsibilities and Requirements:PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIESProvides leadership and technical oversight for security technology construction projects by working in conjunction with Design and Construction in physical security assessments and security technology placement.Writes and implements policies and processes regarding public safety and security.Facilitates regulatory compliance programs and provides oversight to ensure regulatory requirements are met for programs including but not limited to: infant abduction, fire response, elopement, licensing, escalation of force, workplace violence and emergency communication.Conducts internal and external physical security risk assessments for departments, facilities, and off-site locations as needed or requested to identify critical infrastructure vulnerabilities and barriers for successful first responder response.Leads, develops, and implements learning management system modules related to public safety and security. Leads training and promotion of public safety programs.Conducts violence risk assessments and leads Threat Management Team intervention.Conducts Use of force reviews for incidents involving the use of personal protective equipment by security officers employed by the organization.Acts as point of contact for security services at off site medical office buildings or other properties owned or leased by the organization.Compiles data and analyzes trends, and reports pertinent data. Prepares spreadsheets and graphs to illustrate data trends to security managers and stakeholders for proactive response and planning.Works in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATIONBachelor's degree in police administration, law enforcement or related field, or equivalent years of experience and education.EXPERIENCEFive years' experience, with two years' in leadership.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSFrequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.Frequent use of vision and depth perception for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
