This position provides support as an active part of the treatment team, providing continuous patient care, supervision, interaction, and role modeling to patients ranging in age from pre-school through geriatrics. Security Techs work under the direction of the RN supervisor.Security 1. Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.2. Answer alarms and investigate disturbances.3. Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.4. Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent the passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.5. Answer telephone calls to take messages, answer questions, and provide information during non-business hours or when the switchboard is closed.6. Escort individuals to specified locations and to provide personal protection.7. Write reports of daily activities and irregularities, such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.8. Inspect and adjust security systems, equipment, and machinery to ensure operational use and detect tampering evidence.Your Experience Matters What we're looking for:Education: High School Degree or equivalent preferredExperience: Three to five years experience in law enforcement or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in a healthcare business office or hospital setting.Licensure: Must maintain a valid driver's license in the applicable state.Additional Requirements: Successful completion CPR/First & CPI Training within 90 days of employment and before assisting with restraining procedures.
