We are now hiring for a Seed Coordinator for our Syracuse, NE location. This position is being offered as full-time with benefits.
Essential duties:
* Ensure that producer's expectations are being met in the most efficient manner as possible by focusing on quality of application work being dispatched and be able to trouble shoot and resolve issues with assigned fields, maps, coordinates, etc., with custom applicators and tender drivers.
* Receive work orders in the AG Technology system and organize and dispatch orders in the most efficient and effective means possibly to maintain margins and profitability for the company.
* Works closely with Regional AG Managers, Operations Managers and AG Advisors in organizing orders and chemical/fertilizer loads to keep all equipment moving in the most efficient manner as well as prioritizing future location and producer needs.
* Manages the seed sales program by supporting Field Agronomist in seed sales. Utilize strategic planning to ensure seed accounts achieve sales and operational objectives; develops annual company sales goals and plans; Assist seed companies to identify opportunities and negotiate dollar allocation amounts for training, product testing, sales process improvement, marketing and promotions to enhance sales growth; able to use selling skills for product placement, up selling and brand growth objectives.
* Oversees the ordering of seed for Field Agronomist; be able to assist with any conflict resolution issues, returns, rebates, and prepays between Frontier Cooperative, seed companies and growers; manages, coordinates, and reconciles the seed supply and inventory product availability at each Frontier Cooperative location; manage the preparation of seed sale activity reports and presents to the Agronomy - Location Manager; authors seed updates and informational articles for publication in the company's newsletter and web site. Report seed inventories and keep a list of hybrids available for sale, reported to the manager and seed team.
Job skills and requirements:
* Must have knowledge, skills and abilities in precision technology data entry and interpretation of data, agronomy retail products and services, customer service, time management, safety management and problem solving.
* Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists and make decisions.
* Basic knowledge of soil fertility, fertilizer and chemical traits and properties, seed type and traits, various crop life, and general agricultural chemistry.
* Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, or electronic form; read and interpret documents such as safety rules, product information, operating procedure manuals and instructions. Ability to write routine reports and general correspondence.
* Ability to speak effectively one-on-one with a customer or employees of the company.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
* Must have strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple assignments.
