LaSalle Network is partnering with a premier specialty construction client in Dallas, looking to hire a Segment Controller. The Segment Controller will be responsible for overseeing financial operations within specific construction segments. This role will involve managing the segment's Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, budgeting, forecasting and providing strategic financial insights to enhance performance and profitability. Segment Controller Responsibilities:
- Oversee the P&L for assigned segments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and company policies
- Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts, analyzing variances and providing actionable insights
- Monitor financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities to enhance profitability and operational efficiency
- Prepare and present regular financial reports to senior management, highlighting key metrics and recommendations for strategic decision-making
- Work closely with project managers and operational teams to provide financial guidance and support for project planning and execution
- Implement cost control measures and analyze project costs to ensure financial efficiency
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls within the segment
- Mentor and manage the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development
Segment Controller Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or related field
- CPA required
- Experience within the construction, engineering, manufacturing or utility industries required
- 8+ years professional experience in similar role
- Strong expertise with GAAP and SOX
- Exposure to authorization of expenditure preferred
- Strong proficiency in financial software/ERP systems
