Self-Direction Services Support Broker
We are seeking an OPWDD Authorized and experienced Self-Direction Support Broker who will work closely with individuals with developmental disabilities to create their Self-Direction budgets and service plans and administer their implementation. The Support Broker supervises self-hired support staff/DSPs, assists in the hiring and training of DSPs and supports individuals and families with managing their budgets and expenses. The Support Broker must have current OPWDD Support Broker Authorization.

Position Responsibilities:
- The development and oversight of Self-Direction budgets and services
- Assisting individuals and families monitor their budgets and expenses
- Developing Staff Action Plans and Safeguards
- Training and supervising Direct Support Professionals
- Providing education and training to participant and Planning Team in implementing the SD plan and budget
- Participating in Lifeplan review and Planning Team meetings at the office and in the community
Essential Skills:
- Knowledge of Self-Direction services and the ability to develop budgets and service plans
- Understanding of computer software essential, experience working with eVero software a plus!
- Ability to supervise staff working in the community
- Ability to work with a diverse population
- Ability to interact professionally with all stake holders, including individuals, families, parents, Direct Support Professionals, agencies, and businesses
Qualifications:
- Experience in the delivery of OPWDD Self-Direction services as a Fiscal Intermediary or Support Broker
- Experience working with individuals and family members of people with disabilities
- Associates Degree or higher level of education preferred
- Effective communication, time management and organizational skills required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings as needed
- Must have reliable transportation to attend meetings at various locations, including people's homes throughout the region
