The Opportunity

Our mission is to innovate and excel in both front-end and back-end semiconductor processes. We are seeking an experienced Semiconductor Engineer with comprehensive expertise in both areas to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

The Semiconductor Engineer will play a crucial role in Research & Development and will manage and optimize both front-end and back-end semiconductor manufacturing processes. You will lead the development and optimization of front-end semiconductor processes, including MOCVD, PECVD, CVD, Reactive Ion Etching, Steppers, Photoresist application, Plating, and Etching.

Essential Functions

  • Leverage a team of skilled engineers to develop products and establish process parameters and specifications for semiconductor device fabrication that meets the technical strategic roadmap.
  • Serve as the lead expert for semiconductor product development and other various projects as required, including working with engineering consultants.
  • Collaborate with packaging engineers to develop and optimize semiconductor packaging methods to ensure high reliability and performance.
  • Ensure seamless integration of front-end and back-end processes to achieve efficient and effective semiconductor device production.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance yield, cycle time, and device performance across all stages of semiconductor fabrication.
  • Collaborate with equipment engineers to ensure optimal performance, maintenance, and troubleshooting of front-end and back-end semiconductor processing equipment.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to manufacturing teams, facilitating smooth process transfer from development to production.
  • Maintain comprehensive process documentation, including work instructions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and process flows for both front-end and back-end operations.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry advancements in semiconductor fabrication technologies and packaging techniques, integrating new methodologies as appropriate.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing processes, reduce costs, and improve overall efficiency.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned.

Skills For Success

  • Experience working with Gallium Nitride (GaN) processes is highly preferred
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor device physics, process control, and packaging principles.
  • Proficient in data analysis and statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues across both front-end and back-end processes.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of working effectively in a team-oriented environment.

You Mush Have

  • Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics or a related field
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in semiconductor fabrication, with a strong emphasis on both front-end and back-end processes.
  • Proven expertise with MOCVD, PECVD, CVD, Reactive Ion Etching, Steppers, Photoresist, Plating, and other front-end processes.
  • In-depth experience with back-end processes such as wirebonding, diebonding, dicing, wafer mounting, hermetic seam sealing, and thermally set epoxy molding
