Semiconductor Packaging Operator Location: Richardson, TX Salary: $22 - $24/hour + Annual Bonus Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k), PTO, Paid Holidays, Tuition Assistance Job Type: Full-Time Typical Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Start Date: Immediate Sponsorship is not available Semiconductor Packaging Operator Description Our client, a leader in laser diode semiconductor manufacturing, is seeking a Semiconductor Packaging Operator to add to their team in Richardson, TX. You will play a critical role in assembling and packaging cutting-edge semiconductor laser components, helping to create advanced technologies used in industries like quantum computing and precision instruments. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with a steady hand, a strong work ethic, and a passion for producing high-quality components. You will work in a cleanroom environment with state-of-the-art tools and collaborate with a team that values precision and innovation. To be successful in this role, you must have a basic understanding of packaging processes such as dicing, cleaving, die-attach and wirebonding, seam sealing and fiber optic coupling. Semiconductor Packaging Operator Responsibilities • Execute precision die mounting and cleaving operations for laser diode components • Perform microscope-based assembly of microscale semiconductor components • Operate specialized equipment including die singulation and auto pick-and-place systems • Conduct quality inspections and testing procedures on packaged products • Maintain detailed production records and documentation • Follow strict electrostatic discharge (ESD) protocols and cleanroom procedures • Support continuous improvement initiatives for packaging processes • Collaborate with engineering teams to optimize production workflows • Ensure proper handling and alignment of small-scale components under a microscope • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime • Assist in equipment changeovers to adapt to production needs Semiconductor Packaging Operator Qualifications • 2+ years of semiconductor manufacturing packaging experience required • Hands-on experience with die attach, wire bonding, and cleaving processes required • Knowledge of cleanroom procedures and electrostatic discharge (ESD) protocols required • Experience with precision handling tools and microscope work required • Ability to maintain steady hands for detailed assembly work required • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records required
