This role includes overseeing accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, preparing financial reports, and providing strategic insights to support business decisions. The Senior Accountant will work closely with the finance team and other departments to maintain the financial integrity of the organization.Key Responsibilities:Financial Reporting:Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial performance, including variance analysis and budget forecasting.Accounting Operations:Oversee and manage day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.Ensure proper recording and reconciliation of all financial transactions.Compliance and Controls:Assist in ensuring compliance with all financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.Implement and monitor internal control procedures to safeguard company assets and prevent fraud.Budgeting and Forecasting:Support the budgeting and forecasting process by providing financial analysis and insights.Assist in preparing and monitoring annual budgets and financial projections.Audit and Taxation:Coordinate with external auditors during financial audits and assist in the preparation of audit schedules and documentation.Support tax compliance and reporting requirements, including the preparation of tax returns and related documents.Team Collaboration:Work closely with other departments to provide financial insights and support for operational decisions.Train and mentor junior accounting staff as needed.Process Improvement:Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.Assist in the development and implementation of new accounting policies and procedures.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA designation preferred.Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.Previous experience in the casino or hospitality industry is highly desirable.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Oracle, Sage) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.Strong attention to detail and accuracy.Interested in hearing more?
