Job Duties:
  • Drive adoption of WCAG AA standards and any applicable government standards through Hyatt's development and design process
  • Solutioning with Designers and Developers how to minimally adjust their work (visual design / code) to ensure a compliant accessible experience.
  • Coordinate with 3rd parties to ensure secondary compliance and usability.
  • Conducts design level, code level and screen reader based digital accessibility audits and provides guidance to designers and developers.
  • Provide tactical guidance to novice teams on remediations and screen reader testing
  • Create and maintain accessibility health measures.
Qualifications:
  • Strong emotional intelligence and deep empathy
  • Passionate about disability advocacy
  • 7+ years in accessibility and advocacy
  • Experience with assistive technologies (e.g., NVDA, JAWS, Voiceover, Talkback, & Dragon) and testing tools (e.g., axe, PAC3, & CCA)
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills
  • 3+ years in program management, project management
