  • Prepares periodic statistical and financial reports and records ensuring proper classification and distribution of budgeting and cost accounting data;
  • Verifies the accuracy of journal and ledger postings and makes adjusting entries when necessary;
  • Performs manual and/or computerized utility billing and other accounts receivable activities reconciles billed and collected amounts to general ledger accounts;
  • Acts as a lead worker assigning and reviewing the work of subordinates;
  • Assists in training and supervising subordinates;
  • Prepares budget items, journals, transfers and other nonpayment financial documents;
  • Gathers, assembles, tabulates, posts, proofs, extends, balances and summarizes complex financial and statistical data;
  • Makes complex mathematical calculations; audits personnel action forms (PAFs) and records changes;
  • Operates a variety of office equipment including word processors, personal computers, data processing equipment, facsimile, electronic copiers, printers, adding machines, calculators and other modern office equipment; performs general clerical accounting work as assigned;
