This is a multi-property position to support the group sales efforts for 4 top-performing hotels in NYC. The Benjamin- The Royal Sonesta Hotel; The Shelburne - The Sonesta Hotel; The Fifty, Sonesta Select New York and The Garden - Sonesta New York, ES Suites. The Benjamin will be fully renovated in 2024 and The Shelburne will be getting a new Restaurant and Roof top later in 2023.Job DescriptionPrinciple duties and responsibilities (Essential Functions) include:Key responsibilities would include selling guest rooms and meeting space within assigned accounts and segments to groups for the 4 Sonesta Hotels of NYCOther Job FunctionsExplore new sources of business by developing new contacts.Continue to develop relationships with current supporters through innovative and effective strategies.Seek and contact new potential clients through:Direct enquirySales leads - domestic and overseasSales BlitzBe responsible for room night and revenue production from allocated segmentsEntertain executives and secretaries of potential corporate and travel companies and in-house guests to ensure future business to the hotelMonitor monthly production and create business plans to achieve the monthly targetsConsistently quote rates to help achieve the hotels' occupancy, average rate, and RevPAR goalsMonitor competitors' performance where it relates to their particular market segmentMaintain and update the hotel's CRM system in accordance to Sonesta guidelineAttend daily sales briefings, weekly revenue meetings, and monthly sales meetingsOrganize and participate in familiarization visits, sales blitzes, entertain and conduct other business-generating activities as and when requireConduct on-site inspections for existing or prospective travel influencers, decision makers and end users.Be aware of current market trends and supply competitor activity information to the sales leadership.Participate in sales trips and, when required, complete all sales reports in accordance with Sonesta guidelines.Participate in any projects as and when assigned by the department head.Perform any other reasonable duties as required by the department head.Deliver Passionate & Engaging Service to our GuestsYou will be passionate and truly engaged in taking care of our guests, recognizing individual guests and anticipating their unique needs in order to exceed their expectationsYou will consistently deliver our GUEST model:G reet or welcome everyone, warmly with a smileU se eye and ear contact and guest's nameE stablish/anticipate needsS olve and own all requests/complaintsT hank everyoneBuild Solid Relationship with your ColleaguesTreat colleagues with respect and dignityOther duties and responsibilities may be assigned.
