About the Opportunity:
Semaphore is seeking a Senior Account Executive based in Boston to play a pivotal role in driving revenue and expanding our customer base for our innovative product—Labbit, a cutting-edge cloud-based Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solution. With expertise in clinical diagnostics, research, biotech, biopharma, or manufacturing labs, you'll manage complex sales cycles, using your domain knowledge and SaaS sales experience to demonstrate how our LIMS solution can address real-world challenges. If you've transitioned from a technical role, such as Field Application Scientist or analyst, into sales, this is an ideal opportunity to leverage your expertise in a sales-driven environment.Building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders in the community will be essential to your long-term success in this role. You'll leverage your domain knowledge to identify and cultivate new business opportunities within customer and partner ecosystems. As part of a growing, highly collaborative team, you must be results-oriented and comfortable wearing many hats, including working with marketing on campaigns and sourcing your own leads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive the Labbit LIMS enterprise SAAS sales process, manage key client accounts, generate new leads, and develop new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing to support outbound sales efforts and campaigns.
- Develop and implement high-impact sales strategies with your team to cultivate and sustain key account partnerships.
- Conduct client discovery meetings to understand their needs and tailor solutions accordingly.
- Present data-driven insights and success stories to prospective clients in person and virtually.
- Proactively contribute to continuous improvement while meeting and exceeding sales performance goals and team outcomes.
- Foster relationships with the biotech community and industry leaders and expand our reference customer base
Qualifications:
- Expertise and experience in clinical diagnostics, research, biotech, biopharma, manufacturing labs or similar domains.
- Proven enterprise account management and sales skills with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding quotas.
- Experience in lead generation and business development.
- Solid understanding of the SaaS Enterprise Sales Process.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage clients effectively.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently in a remote setting.
- Knowledge of the SaaS, Life Sciences, BioPharma, and genomics industries is a plus.
- Bachelor's degree in an applicable field
