As a primarily remote position, we seek candidates ideally located in Eastern Pennsylvania who can occasionally collaborate in person. Reporting to the Controller, this position is perfect for a motivated accounting professional eager to drive daily accounting activities, support an efficient month-end close, and leverage technology to streamline processes and automation.   • Manage aspects of daily accounting, including journal entries, reconciliation preparation and review, and cash and balance sheet reporting.
  • Support an accurate, timely month-end close process with an ongoing goal to reduce close time.
  • Identify and drive process improvements, implementing automation initiatives with NetSuite and other tools.
  • Collaborate on system implementation and broader automation projects to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • You will report month-end close process through preparation of and detailed review of journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations and fluctuation analysis
  • Assist in assessing current accounting operations, offering recommendations for improvements and automation
  • Coordinate with FP&A team to resolve various reporting matters, including revenue analytics and expense analytics
  • Maintenance of fixed asset register and construction in progress balances
  • Responsible for reconciliation of account balances with related platform data and reports, as well as rollforwards of key accounts
  • Help with the consolidation and intercompany transactions and reconciliation
  • Maintain a compliance calendar for all external reporting requirements and execute on those deliverables including, but not limited to sales tax and income tax filings
  • Supports external audit requests by providing account analyses and support for selections
Experience & Skills
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
  • Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience
  • CPA or Chartered Accountant preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of US GAAP, UK GAAP and/or IFRS
  • Knowledge of Accounting systems (Netsuite preferred) and internal controls best practices
  • Confident self-starter
  • Highly organized, with attention to detail
  • A critical thinker with a passion for improving and implementing best practices
