This team of experienced financial professionals leverages data analytics and best practices to deliver insightful financial reporting and analysis. What You Will Do We are seeking a strong Individual Contributor for Reporting team to be responsible for the accounting associated with several key business cycles. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Financial Reporting, the SFA will be responsible for a spectrum of financial reporting and accounting activities. This includes providing best in class support to management and other business stakeholders to ensure their understanding of period financial results. The incumbent will be proficient in accounting, audit, and government regulations. They should be able to meet deadlines, pay attention to detail, and communicate openly and effectively, managing internal and external business relationships. Duties and Responsibilities
  • Own, refine and improve processes and controls used to validate and ensure that information in upstream systems (Hyperion) is received accurately and completely from Oracle.
  • Ensure that Marketing expenses are accurately captured, tracked and monitored
  • Coordinate marketing spend review with key stakeholders and provide accounting guidance for accurate recording of expenses
  • Preparation of quarterly balance sheet reporting package and analysis
  • Assisting other departments on analysis of actual spend
  • Responsible for key journals for North America, including analysis of variances to latest estimate
  • Lead cross-functional meetings with internal stakeholders where results are reviewed and be responsible for providing explanations, researching issues, and making corrections as necessary.
  • Upload to HFM for all lines of business
  • Support GL stewardship
  • Review and record entries to the Oracle general ledger and prepare assigned balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop and execute analytical procedures for quarter end balance sheet flux review which includes understanding and explaining changes quarter over quarter & quarter over year end at the end of the quarter.
  • Maintain appropriate internal controls and support external audit activities and audit preparation.
  • Support external statutory reporting requirements as needed.
  • Import and export large amounts of data from reporting systems and perform analytical reviews.
  • Strict adherence to month-end close timelines
  • Assist with internal and external audit queries
  • Assist management with special projects and perform all other accounting and reporting tasks as assigned
Qualifications
  • 3-5+ years of related experience
  • Strong accounting background including experience performing journal entries, reconciliations and variance analysis etc.
  • Experience working with large ERP systems (i.e. Oracle)
  • Extracting and analyzing data from the ERP systems (variance analysis)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel experience (pivot tables, sumifs, Index-Match, vlookups, Hlookups, xlookups)
  • Possessing a process improvement mindset - problem solver
  • Highly self-motivated and directed, able to work independently
  • CPA designation required coupled with a four-year degree in Business or Accounting
Base salary may vary depending on, but not limited to: skills, experience, and location. This role is also eligible for a comprehensive benefits package and annual bonus program.
