A financial services firm is seeking an experienced professional to join their growing team as a Senior Accountant in their New York City office.
Responsibilities
Conducting monthly and quarterly reconciliations/closings with the third-party fund administrator for the related funds.Compose quarterly closing packages for CFO and board presentations.Collaborating with the BDC's auditors to respond to audit requests and questions, ensuring financial reporting deadlines are met.Recording journal entries in the internal accounting system for the BDC and associated funds.Helping prepare investor reporting templates.Collaborating with the operations, treasury, valuation, and fund finance teams to support BDC activities.Perform other duties, as needed.Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree.2-5 years of professional experience working with alternative credit funds.Experience with SEC filings and registered investment companies.Strong communication skills in order to coordinate across functions.Excellent organization skills, with ability to handle a wide variety of responsibilities and meet deadlines.Desired Skills
