  • Assist the Accounting manager/Controller in general accounting duties, special projects, new work, accounting issues, coordinating with cross functional internal teams and external partners.
  • Accounts Payable
    • Process accounts payable invoices and payments for all legal entities, investigates problems that vendors or purchasing agents have with obtaining payment for bills and follow up on inquiries from management and external sources.
    • Checks invoices against purchase orders, research discrepancies and posts for payment. Participate in PR/PO process.
  • Accounts Receivable
    • Process customer payments against open receivables in an accurate and timely manner.
    • Answer customer and Sales Rep inquiries, perform customer account analysis and collections function for customers that are overdue.
    • Reconciliation of cash and credit card charges.
  • Other Accounting Duties
    • Participate in month end close including booking journal entries, preparing reconciliations and updating internal and external reporting templates.
    • Support internal and external auditors in annual and tax audits.
    • Act as liaison between HR/Accounting/Finance/ Shared service and other departments to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase requisitions and invoices.
    • Manage employee's enrollment in systems, T&Es, Corporate Credit Cards,
    • Responsible for payroll booking, reporting and analysis by collaborating with external partner (ADP) and HR
    • 401k, Health Insurance, Tax and other staff accounting related invoicing & declarations.
    • Assist in development of and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances and areas for improvement.
    • Mentor and train junior accounting staff, fostering professional development and growth.
  • Administrative support for declarations, office move, treasury related items (authorizations), insurance contracts, credit cards and expense reporting
  • Other duties as requested by the Business, cross-train as staff backup in the case of emergencies.
Competencies:
  • Knowledge of accounting processes, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and extensive skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to succeed in a team environment.
  • Strong research, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Ability to adapt quickly and learn new tasks independently and manage competing priorities.
Required Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree, in Business, Finance or Accounting, CPA designation preferred not required.
  • Proven experience as an accountant with minimum 3-5 years in senior financial/accounting role
  • Pharmaceutical or FMCG/Consumer/Healthcare background preferred.
Work Environment / physical demands / position type and expected hours of work:
  • This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
  • This is a largely sedentary role; however, some filing is required, which would require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.
  • The normal working hours of the office are from 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
