Description
Job Title: Senior Accountant

Salary: Range starts at $80,000, depending on experience
Job Summary: The Senior Accountant will support the Corporate Controller in the accounting operations of the company. This role involves preparation of financial statements, maintaining the general ledger, booking journal entries and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the day -to-day operations of the accounting department, overseeing tasks such as general ledger maintenance and bank reconciliations.
* Monitor and reconcile general ledger accounts.
* Ensure the prompt and accurate preparation of financial reports in adherence to GAAP.
* Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close process.
* Assist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
* Coordinate and assist with internal and external audits, ensuring timely and accurate completion of audit requirements.
* Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting and support business operations.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or finance.
* Strong knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards and regulations.
* Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
* Experience with ERP systems.
* Experience in the manufacturing or chemical industry.

Full-time position based in Salt Lake City, UT.
