Overall Summary
The Senior Accountant is based in the MicroPort Orthopedic's Arlington, TN office and is a contributing team member in the Controller's organization. Reporting to the Controller, the individual in this role will be responsible for executing preparation of financial statements for the consolidated entity, reconciliation of assigned accounts, and analysis of areas of ownership to ensure financial reporting requirements are completed in a timely and accurate manner.
Your duties will include:
* Support the day-to-day accounting for the corporate office, including journal entries, general ledger administration, account reconciliations, accrual analysis, etc.
* Assist with administration of JD Edwards and TM1 (consolidation software) for general accounting functions (chart of accounts, intercompany balancing, etc)
* Lead the preparation of monthly and semi-annual consolidation reporting, other periodic or ad hoc reports, including preparation of supporting schedules, ensuring appropriate disclosures are made in accordance with IFRS rules/requirements.
* Provide support for corporate audit as needed
* Serve as a liaison for Finance team to determine reporting requirements, assist with data requests, and document procedures and controls.
* Develop a deep understanding of company reporting needs and drive improvements to meet the needs of the business.

Licensure, Registration and/or Certification
CPA highly preferred
YOUR EDUCATION
Required: Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Preferred: Master's degree in Accounting
YOUR EXPERIENCE
5+ years audit experience in public accounting environment or direct experience in industry (large company) in a similar role preferred
