Job Description:
In order to be considered for this role, after clicking Apply Now above and being redirected, you must fully complete the application process on the follow-up screen.The Senior Accountant serves as the primary point of contact for assigned areas of responsibility supporting close and consolidation of the LEARFIELD group of companies (standalone and consolidated) for internal management reporting, external reporting and tax reporting. The Senior Accountant will be assigned responsibilities commensurate with experience in operational areas such as corporate, consolidation and/or operational business units. Responsibilities:
  • Implement effective financial statement disclosure controls and procedures
  • Complete assigned responsibilities for monthly close including preparation of monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and other support (i.e., rollforward, transaction support).
  • Design process improvement and information systems enhancements to support the business environment (e.g., ledger maintenance, subledger maintenance, ancillary system maintenance).
  • Serve as Accounting liaison supporting external audit.
  • Perform Adhoc financial analysis and special projects.
  • Record and reconcile bimonthly payroll
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of applicable experience
  • Experience with ERP (Great Plains and/or Workday), Report Writer (Prophix or Adaptive Insights), Microsoft Office Suite
  • Familiar with US GAAP standards
  • Multi-location; multi-entity experience
  • Complex entity structure experience
  • Financial reporting experience
  • Effectively communicate verbally and written with cross-functional teams
  • Innovation and problem solving skills
  • Implement new accounting guidance and/or apply existing guidance to new transactions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Manage competing priorities and deadlines
  • Support professional development of entire team
