Sidney Regional Medical Center is searching for a Senior Accountant to join our TEAM. This role, as part of the Finance Department, is charged with providing accounting support and expertise to the finance department by providing financial information to the leadership of the organization.Job Responsibilities:
- Be sufficiently knowledgeable regarding GAAP and FASB regulation.
- Analysis of general ledger accounts on a monthly basis and preparation of adjustment if necessary.
- Calculation, analysis, reconciliation and communication of monthly RVU's and quarterly payments to providers and CEO. This includes validation using statistics and revenue data.
- Assist leadership with annual budgeting, year-end processing, audit prep, and other quarterly and annual processes as determined by Director.
- Create worksheets and other tools with data set information to support CEO, CFO , Sr. Director of Revenue Integrity and Director of Finance.
- Creation of Financial Statements, worksheets and supporting documentation for monthly financial reports on a timely basis.
- Processing monthly journal entries and in the completion of monthly financial reporting, financial analysis, completion of charts and graphs as directed by the Director.
- Preparing and filing reports or transmitting data in support of tax documents required by regulatory agencies. ie: 990, 941, 5500
- On occasion, may assist by acting as backup to the Payroll/Accounts Payable Analyst, as necessary as well as assisting in error resolution and problem-solving support to finance staff.
- Review or assist in review of daily cash balances and transfer funds as necessary for the needs of the business.

Education & Experience:
- Education: Minimum of bachelor's degree in business with an emphasis in finance or accounting is required.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience with extensive work in general ledger and financial statement preparation.
- Significant excel experience and proficiency is a must.
- Required licensure/certification: CPA a plus but not required
