Description
- Oversee accounts payable, general ledger maintenance, and cash management to ensure accurate financial processes.
- Assist with payroll processing and related reconciliations.
- Manage the monthly and year-end close process, including the preparation of financial reports.
- Monitor grant and contract expense tracking, including reporting and audit preparation.
- Provide support during audits by preparing and organizing documentation.
- Collaborate on special projects to enhance accounting processes and internal controls.
- Handle ad-hoc financial reporting and account analysis.
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Experience in an accounting or finance role; nonprofit and grant experience preferred.
- Knowledge of GAAP and familiarity with federal audit standards is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial analysis and advanced Excel functions (e.g., Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs).
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and within a team in a fast-paced environment.
