The accounting team supports business leadership by providing accurate and timely financial reporting with insights for key decision making. Ideal candidates have a strong accounting background and are able to exercise professional judgement, work independently, perform key analyses, possess a focus on process improvements and a keen problem-solving ability and willingness to undertake any responsibility in support of the needs of the team and the organization.What you'll do:
- Develop a detailed understanding of the Company, its products and services, its markets and its internal organization in order to understand financial results.
- Analyze financial results to identify key drivers of variances. Utilize various analysis techniques to identify insights and communicate to business unit leaders.
- Communicate extensively with key business unit personnel and build relationships across various company organizations as a trusted business advisor.
- Prepare journal entries, schedules, reconciliations, and analytics for the monthly, quarterly and annual close.
- Enhance and maintain detailed financial workpapers to support accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Drive monthly and quarterly financial close activities.
- Assist leaders with external auditor requests.
Skills & Requirements:
- BA/BS in Accounting
- CPA preferred
- A minimum of 3+ years of relevant experience in public accounting or public company environment or mix
- Knowledge of technical accounting concepts and understanding of internal controls
- Detail-focused, highly analytical orientation with the ability to think creatively and solve problems
- Strong communication and presentation (verbal and written) skills
- Demonstrates strong decision making and accountability to deliverables
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
- Demonstrates focus on process improvement
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with NetSuite accounting system is a strong plus
