About the Role

InvestCloud is looking for a dynamic Senior Accountant of Reporting and Technical Accounting responsible for overseeing and performing advanced accounting functions to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance. Prepares the Company's external financial reporting documents and related SEC filing and supporting other accounting operation activities. This role requires a deep understanding of technical accounting issues, as well as the ability to prepare and analyze financial statements and reports.

What does a great Senior Accountant (Reporting & TechnicalAccounting) do?

A successful Senior Accountant will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including external auditors, to ensure the accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information. Effectively oversees and executes the company's financial reporting processes and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and embrace innovative ideas in daily work. Communicate effectively with external auditors, tax advisors, and other third parties.

How you will provide meaningful contributions:

* Partner and collaborate with team on the coordination and preparation of all external and internal financial reports on annual and quarterly basis.

* Lead conversations with Accounting/Finance/Legal to collect information and input for the consolidated financial statements and disclosures; prepare and maintain the consolidated financial operating model; complete disclosure checklists and reporting questionnaires.

* Ensure timely and accurate reporting of financial information to internal and external stakeholders.

* Maintain and strengthen internal controls over financial reporting and assist in the development and implementation of new controls as the company grows and evolves

* Prepare journal entries for equity accounts and stock-based compensations.

* Prepare lease accounting entries under ASC 842 and month-end close and financial statement review.

* Develop and maintain quarterly reporting timetable and monitor progress against reporting cycle milestones.

* Review and analyze supporting documents for quarterly financial statements review/annual audit.

* Provide recommendations based on financial analysis to support accounting/corporate decisions and create documentation, and maintenance of company accounting policies.

* Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules deliberated by the SEC, US GAAP, PCAOB or other regulations and report nuances or updates that need to be addressed in an effort to be compliant.

* Conduct research in technical accounting matters and provide updates that impact the accounting environment.

* Implement best practices and standardized procedures.

* Participate in special projects, such as system implementations, process improvements, and M&A due diligence and ad-hoc requests as needed.

Basic Qualifications for Consideration:

* Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.

* Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

* 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with a focus on financial reporting and technical accounting.

* Demonstrated ability in having a strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.

* Strong knowledge of financial statements consolidation process, including intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translation, etc.

* Advanced Excel skills.

* High level of attention to detail and accuracy.

* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

* Exceptional planning and organization skills.

* Strong project management and communication skills.

* Results-driven, take the initiative and ownership to accomplish work.

Preferred Skills / Experience

* Experience with public accounting firm or a publicly traded company is preferred

* Experience with NetSuite and Workiva is preferred

* Advanced technical accounting knowledge in leases and equity is a plus.

* Experience with SaaS company, IPO, business combination is a plus.

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on the applicant's geographic location. Salary range: $90,000 - $120,000
