Together, we'll create products that make a significant difference in people's lives each day.Why This Role:As a Senior Tax Accountant at Combe Incorporated, you will have the unique opportunity to shape the financial health and compliance of our multinational, multistate group of companies. Collaborating closely with the Senior Tax Director and our external CPA firm, you will play a pivotal role in completing tax returns, preparing income tax provisions, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting. In addition, you will have the opportunity to handle tax controversies, develop strategic tax planning initiatives, and provide invaluable tax insights to various business units.What You'll Do:
  • Prepare and analyze income tax provisions, including book/tax differences, deferred tax balances, and uncertain tax positions.
  • Complete federal, state, and local tax returns, as well as foreign income tax returns.
  • Lead annual extension and estimated tax payments, ensuring accurate accounting.
  • Review various informational returns and reports, including forms 5471 and 1042.
  • Assist in leading tax fixed and intangible assets, including tax depreciation and amortization analysis.
  • Coordinate US Research Tax Credit study and state tax apportionment data.
  • Respond to tax authority notices and audits, researching issues and preparing responses.
  • Research and document technical tax issues related to tax reporting and compliance.
  • Participate in special projects, including tax planning and tax M&A analysis.
What We're Looking For:Technical Expertise:
  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP and tax accounting principles.
  • Proficiency in preparing and analyzing income tax provisions and tax returns.
  • Experience with tax technology tools, particularly Oracle EPM-TRCS.
Soft Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with internal teams and external partners.
  • Meticulous with a strong focus on accuracy when preparing and reviewing tax documents.
Organizational Fit:
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and staying updated with tax law changes.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse business units and departments.
  • Integrity and ethical standards in handling critical financial information.
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • Master's degree in Taxation is advantageous.
  • Several years of experience in tax accounting, preferably in a multinational organization.
  • Experience in managing tax fixed and intangible assets.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is highly preferred.
  • Background in tax planning and M&A analysis is a plus.
