Job Overview - Senior Accounting Analyst: Join our client's dynamic team in New York City as a Senior Accounting Analyst specializing in Compensation. In this high-impact role, you will oversee the Portfolio Manager Lifecycle, produce insightful month-end reports, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive strategic initiatives in private equity investments. Location: New York, NY (Hybrid) Compensation: $120,000 - $135,000/year Schedule: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday Responsibilities as the Senior Accounting Analyst:
- Portfolio Manager Lifecycle: Manage all aspects of the Portfolio Manager Lifecycle, including understanding compensation agreements, onboarding new teams, and calculating portfolio manager compensation.
- Month-End Closing: Prepare month-end closing reports and compensation-related processes, with a focus on private equity investments.
- P&L Monitoring: Monitor and review P&L of specific portfolio investments and assess their impact on compensation calculations.
- Reporting and Analysis: Implement and enhance reporting and analysis for senior management to add value to the business.
- Automation Improvement: Coordinate with the technology team to automate processes and improve efficiency.
- Ad-Hoc Projects: Handle various ad-hoc projects as needed.
Qualifications for the Senior Accounting Analyst:
- Experience: 3+ years in a finance or accounting role, preferably in public and/or private accounting.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, finance, or a related field preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; Familiarity with carried interest waterfall calculations.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving, attention to detail, verbal and written communication, and analytical abilities.
- Preferred: Experience with Oracle and Tableau.
