****Position Summary****

As the Senior Accounting Analyst you will be responsible for coaching and developing a team of Accounting staff, as well as working closely with all departments in the factory to ensure accurate materials inventory. In this role you will develop and maintain overall management of inventory control and material accounting systems while ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, Nestle accounting standards, and company policies and standards. The position is responsible for the continuous training and development of factory personnel on financial systems.

**Primary Responsibilities:**

* Monitor the plants finished product, packing supply and ingredient inventory reporting systems. Monitor the plants MRP systems to ensure that all formulas and inventory balances are correct in order to generate accurate recommendations.

* Manage the plant-wide accounting of finished products, packing supplies and ingredients and conduct analysis on variances resulting from the inventories.

* Prepare all monthly closing entries relating to packing supplies, finished product and ingredients.

* Monitor reporting to analyze the payments of packing supplies and ingredients and ensure they are accurate and up to date.

* Review unit cost of packing supplies and ingredients to ensure that the ledge is not misstated at month end. Review cost/ton for both packing supplies and ingredients to ensure that P&Ls are being costed accurately at month end.

* Assumes all other duties as assigned by reporting manager (Controller).

**Basic Qualifications:**

* Education: Bachelors Degree in an Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required.

* Experience: 2+ years of inventory or materials accounting experience in a manufacturing, warehouse, military, or related environment required.
