Location: New Orleans,LA, USA
This position is responsible for supporting international, cross-departmental teams to implement changes across systems and operational practices to support regulatory or management reporting requirements. Responsibilities will include analyzing data from source systems, Datacore, Aptitude and Workday and designing new ways to use that data to achieve goals for the finance organization.
Lead projects to achieve goals for the finance organization
* Document gap analysis of current state versus future need
* Develop project plan with business, infrastructure and application SMEs to identify the scope, requirements and architecture of projects
* Document policies and procedures for all new/amended processes and technologies, ensuring that all policies and procedures are approved by the local team's Board and/or Committees
Test new processes utilizing current or new technologies
* Develop test cases and analyze results
* Conceptualize standardized reconciliation templates for all new/amended systems and processes, ensuring that the controls embedded meets or exceeds all internal control requirements
Support implementation of new processes
* Deliver training as needed to local accounting teams on new/amended processes and technologies
* Serve as in-house subject matter expert for new/upgraded finance technologies
* Motivate end-users of new processes or technologies and serve as a champion of change
Identify opportunities for efficiencies
* Review manual processes with end users
* Design process to automate manual procedures
* Implement and test automation
* Build reconciliation for automated process
* Document and train end users on new automated process
What We're Looking For
* A minimum of 8+ years in either public accounting, financial reporting or FP&A
* Working knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), US GAAP, US STAT, and regulatory reporting requirements
* CPA or FCCA
* Strong analytical skills
* Ability to work with and understand the needs of multiple departments
* Comfort with ambiguity and a changing environment
