The Senior Acquisition Analyst, working with Government and DDG team members, shall assist the client with all aspects of Department of Defense Acquisition Life Cycle management. Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver program briefs, information papers, project schedules and ensure all documentation is updated in the MCSC historical repository (TOPIC)
  • Update and submit weekly, monthly and quarterly recurring reports at various levels
  • Develop new acquisition documentation and update existing documentation in accordance with current DOD and MCSC policy relevant to the appropriate Acquisition
  • Provide Direct support in researching, drafting, and coordinating various program plans and objectives in support of the DPM, APM, and PdM in accordance with DOD 5000.2 and the Marine Corps Acquisition Guidebook
  • Provide technical direction to monitor work performance and Government Support Organizations, Prime Contractors, and Subcontractors including the drafting of documents such as SOO, SOW, PWS, TDL and MFRs
  • With Program Analysts & Technical writer, ensure completeness and timeliness of project contract deliverables
  • Facilitate the Program's Risk Management Process including recommending solutions to problems or risks regarding program cost, schedule and performance
  • Conduct business case analyses for engineering and programmatic changes
Requirements Required Expertise or Certifications
  • Excellent and proven ability to communicate (verbally and in writing) effectively with customer/sponsor stakeholders and senior executive leadership in government and industry
  • Outstanding organizational skills, Team oriented mindset and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, diverse, and virtual team environment
  • 10+ years USMC and or Army Acquisition Program Experience in ACAT I programs. Experience in USMC Vehicle Acquisition Programs highly preferred
  • Demonstrated working knowledge and experience in transitioning a Major Defense Acquisition Program through life cycle phases
  • Experience with DoD/IT related programs
  • Knowledge of polices, procedures, and activities required in a program office during the execution and management of a Major Defense Acquisition Program
  • Experience working with Federal Agencies and the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently
  • Ability to present both written and oral information to non-technical top managers and other specialists clearly and concisely
Desired Experience:
  • Candidates with military experience, preferably USMC / MARCORSYSCOM
  • Familiarity with USMC Acquisition Contracting best practices
  • Experience with various ACAT, post-ACAT and AAP programs
  • Working knowledge of joint managed programs
  • Basic understand of other functional teams duties within a program office
  • Experience with all acquisition milestones
