POSITION TITLE: SENIOR ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT-DATA COLLECTION SPECIALIST
DEPARTMENT: SECRETARIAL

REPORTS TO: BUILDING ADMINISTRATORS/ADMINISTRATIVE SECRETARY
SUMMARY: Perform clerical duties associated with the operation and maintenance of the Power School software database at the high school.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties may be assigned.
Will work with administration team in all mateters related to Power School (including but not limited to grade storing, state reporting and schedule building)
* Operate the Power School program
* Input data and complete functions in Power School in regard to, but not limited to, student enrollment, schedules, grading/electronic grade book, and course history.
* Monitor and update Classxp attendance.
* Print, copy and distribute materials related to Power School functions.
* Train secretaries, teachers and assist administrators in Power School as it relates specifically to their responsibilities.
* Troubleshoot and answer questions that secretaries, teachers and administrators have in regard to Power School.
* Construct queries and reports from Power School that are needed by the administration, staff, central office, state and federal government.
* Maintain confidentiality of student and staff records.
* Respond to inquiries from teachers/staff and administration.
* Complete all required correspondence, including outside technical support.
* Assist administrators as necessary.
* Perform other duties as required by supervisors.

None.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: TO PERFORM THIS JOB SUCCESSFULLY, AN INDIVIDUAL MUST BE ABLE TO PERFORM EACH ESSENTIAL DUTY SATISFACTORILY. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred. Previous office experience desirable. Training and experience in Power School database preferred.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively with parents, staff and students.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Ability to work with mathematical concepts appropriate to the position.
COMPUTER SKILLS:
Advanced knowledge and experience with job related computer hardware and software applications. Demonstrated ability to operate a personal computer and related software.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form. Ability to deal with problems.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff and the community. Ability to perform duties with awareness of district requirements and Board of Education Policies. Typing and Word Processing; filing; good telephone techniques; general office skills; adaptability; operation of office machines; accuracy; good public relation skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is most frequently required to actively circulate around the facility. This involves frequent transitions from standing, to sitting, to bending. The employee is required to work with hands and continuously will repeat the same hand, arm or finger motion many times as in typing or word processing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds, such as AV equipment and books. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

SALARY: Per negotiated contract
HOURS: 7:15am to 3:15pm
