Brief description of duties: This position provides administrative and secretarial support to the Vice President for Research (VPR) and the Office of Research Programs team with various tasks including:Administrative SupportPerforms a variety of activities in support of ORP functional areas such as proposal submission, finance, purchasing, minute taking, and human resourcesAssist department staff with grant proposal preparation as neededWorks with SUNY Research Foundation business systems to generate queries and reportsAnalyzes and summarizes data using Excel and maintains the Faculty Distribution List workbook for ORP.Provides administrative support to VPR, including scheduling, email management, and written communications on behalf of the VPRResponsible for reception of guest walk-ins and incoming phone callsOffice ManagementHire and supervise student work-study staffMaintain office supply inventory Manage office procurement card and procurement card reconciliationManage department communications for VPR and staffProgram SupportSupport the administration of a variety of internal and external award programs, workshops, and campus research visibility activitiesLiaison with the Office of Communications regarding research outreach and press releases.Administrative coordination between VPR and research-related compliance and governance committeesProvide other program support as directedRequired Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years progressive experience in an office setting or a combination of higher education and experience. Advanced skills with complex computer applications (Microsoft products and software, e.g. Outlook, MS Teams, Word, Excel). Highly organized and detail oriented, strong communicator (verbal and written), efficient at managing time, customer focused, technologically savvy, problem solver Minimum Salary: 50,000 Maximum Salary: 53,000 Salary Unit: Yearly
