- Provides clerical support to TRIO staff including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events; preparing routine correspondence; creating spreadsheets and reports; and screening telephone calls
- Assists in the coordination and development of intake files and related information
- Serves as a resource for inquiries made by students, faculty, and staff
- Monitors and manages confidential paperwork and information
- Maintains electronic and paper files/communications
- Processes and maintains TRIO budget expenditures such as purchase requisitions, expense reports, payroll, and travel
- Monitors and reconciles monthly budget reports for TRIO Programs
- Maintains StudentAccess program databases and ensures hardcopy file maintenance is up-to-date
- Collects and verifies data and electronically submits an Annual Performance Report to the U.S. Department of Education for both TRIO Programs
- Promotes and maintains the utilization of the TRIO Lab
- Supervises student assistants
- Assists with coordination of TRIO events and trips for both students and staff
- Completes annual fixed asset reports and maintains TRIO inventory
- Collaborates with University faculty, staff, and students to assist in meeting program objectives
- Serves on committees as assigned or supported by the program director
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Word and Excel
- Thorough knowledge of hardware and software for data collection, reports, and data management
- Demonstrated successful experience in monitoring budgets
- Evidence of the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as a team player
- Evidence of strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks with frequent interruptions
- Demonstrated ability to manage confidential information
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of customer service
