In this role, you will lead the adaptation, implementation, and management of the Employee Relations and HR legal compliance practices within the PS&S (People Strategy & Services) division. This involves managing all employee relations issues; primary POC (Point of Contact) for conducting or facilitating ER (Employee Relations) reviews, investigations, reviewing, drafting, editing, and finalizing HR policies, procedures, and protocols; developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for the area; and identifying tools to streamline and automate manual processes. PCORI is committed to continually seeking input from a broad range of stakeholders to guide its work.JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Take the lead on managing or facilitating all ER issues, reviews and investigations.
- Leverage your experience, skills, creativity, and knowledge to incorporate current, best in class ER and HR compliance strategies appropriate for PCORI and that aligns with the PS&S long-term vision.
- Utilize successful project management approaches, tools, templates, and resources to keep the ER and HR project on track; provide regular updates to the CPO and broader PS&S team; and clearly communicate progress, achievement of milestones and issues along the way.
- Train the HRBPs (Human Resource Business Partners) on the developed ER processes, practices, protocols, and tools.
- Partner with Senior Project Manager, Business Requirements to assess how the systems can be used to enhance tracking, automate processes, and improve efficiencies just to name a few.
- Liaison between PS&S and the Office of the General Counsel as it relates to managing and completing all ER issues, policies and procedures and compliance needs.
- Will be the main point of contact with the Office of the General Counsel for PS&S relating to ER matters.
- Will attend department and division leader meetings, support broader PS&S projects as needed, and complete any other related ad hoc tasks that may need to be completed.

Required SkillsThe Employee Relations Senior Advisor should have a wide breadth of HR knowledge, experience, and expertise in Employee Relations Management and Performance Management. In addition, they must have the following:

Required Experience- Experience in the design, planning, and/or development of an effective ER practice.
- Experience leading and managing employee relations investigations and reviews, performance issues and consulting on disciplinary issues and activities.
- Experience with federal and state laws and helping to handle legal compliance practice applicable to human resources/human capital needs.
- Experience in writing, reviewing, policies and creating presentations for senior leaders
- Demonstrated experience handling confidential and sensitive data amidst critical business processes.
- Attention to detail, critical thinking skills, and ability to create and present to senior leaders.
- Advanced skills in MS Office, including PowerPoint and Excel.
Minimum Qualifications
- Solid working knowledge of the principles and practices of employee and labor relations
- In-depth knowledge and application of federal, state, and local labor and employment law and regulations.
- Demonstrated experience in developing and executing programs that measurably impact positive employee relations.
- MS Office applications.
Preferred Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience with a combination of Human Resources Management, HR Business Partnering, Employee Relations, Performance Management and Project Management experience.
- Previous ombudsman experience
- Project Management tools. E.g. Asana Strong understanding of the importance of confidentiality and employment laws.
- BA/BS degree or equivalent experience.
Compensation and BenefitsSalary Range: $135,616 - $169,521The above range represents the salary or hourly pay range expected for the position; however, final offers are based on several factors such as the position's responsibilities; the candidate's experience, education, and skills; location; travel required; and current market conditions.
