The Opportunity: Senior AI Engineer
As a Senior AI Engineer, you'll design and implement sophisticated retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems to power an intuitive sales co-pilot that feels like a seasoned mentor to every seller. You'll lead the integration of cutting-edge AI technologies, rapidly prototype new capabilities, and continuously improve the system based on user feedback.
Responsibilities
- Architect and implement end-to-end RAG systems to power our deals knowledge database and co-pilot features.
- Build and optimize retrieval systems that surface relevant sales information in near real-time.
- Design autonomous systems that orchestrate multi-tool workflows and support advanced decision-making.
- Develop robust evaluation frameworks to monitor and improve AI system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design AI-driven features that solve real sales pain points.
- Optimize vector databases and embedding systems for efficient information retrieval.
- Ensure high-quality deployment strategies and monitoring systems for reliability and performance.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years focused on RAG and AI systems.
- Hands-on experience in NLP techniques, particularly in building and optimizing textual search or information retrieval systems.
- Proven experience architecting end-to-end AI systems integrating components like LLMs and hybrid search indexes.
- Expertise in Python, vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, Weaviate), and modern AI/ML infrastructure.
- Strong background in retrieval systems, prompt engineering, and performance optimization.
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in Computer Science or related fields is highly preferred.
- Proven success in delivering complex backend systems or features as an individual contributor.
- Familiarity with fine-tuning language models and experience with scalable cloud AI service deployment.
