Position Overview:

We are in search of a senior AI Engineer with a strong statistical background. This role offers a unique blend of advanced data analysis and AI technology, enabling you to spearhead the future of legal tech solutions. While experience in AI development and data science is crucial, our primary focus is on someone who:

  • Deeply understands probability, data distribution and statistical principles.
  • Has experience working on rare event classification problems.
  • Can apply statistical techniques to enhance AI model performance.
  • Can work effectively with others on the design, development, and implementation of AI solutions.

*Onsite (NYC) is preferred but remote work is acceptable for exceptional candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement advanced AI models tailored to legal industry needs.
  • Collaborate with tech and business teams to ensure our applications meet the nuanced demands of the legal industry.
  • Analyze large datasets to identify patterns and insights for model improvement.
  • Engage with clients and stakeholders to gain feedback and refine AI strategies.
  • Work seamlessly with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working on AI and machine learning projects.
  • Exceptional analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong programming skills in Python.
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex statistical concepts and convert them into actionable AI solutions.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in financial modeling.
  • Experience working with large/Terabyte-scale datasets.
  • Experience building rare event classifiers.
