About the Role: A large Global Financial Services firm is seeking experienced professionals to join their Anti-Money Laundering (AML) team. The ideal candidates will have a strong background in audit, compliance, and financial crimes prevention. These roles will support compliance and legal-focused work, with a primary emphasis on executing comprehensive audits. Key Responsibilities:1. Audit Planning: o Develop and implement risk-based audit planso Identify key risk areas and prioritize audit activitieso Collaborate with stakeholders to define audit scope and objectives2. Control Design Assessment: o Evaluate the design of existing AML controlso Identify gaps in control frameworkso Recommend improvements to enhance control effectiveness3. Control Effectiveness Testing: o Conduct thorough testing of AML controlso Analyze test results and identify areas of weaknesso Document findings and provide actionable recommendations4. Compliance and Financial Crimes Expertise: o Apply in-depth knowledge of AML regulations and best practiceso Stay current with evolving financial crimes trends and typologieso Provide subject matter expertise to the broader team5. Reporting and Communication: o Prepare detailed audit reports and presentationso Communicate findings and recommendations to various levels of managemento Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to address identified issues6. Certification such as CAMS, CIA, or CFE is highly desirable Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills Strong communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and as part of a teamBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field 5+ years of experience in Internal AML and Compliance Audit at a large Financial Institution Strong understanding of AML regulations, including BSA/AML and OFAC Experience in the financial services industry, preferably with a focus on investment banking Proficiency in audit planning, execution, and reporting
