Senior Analysis EngineerTo consult on matters of Powertrain analysisTo deliver the analysis work on engine and vehicle projects (OD, 1Dand 3D, fluid and structural) To co-ordinate analysis for customers being run by internal or external analysis teamsDutiesTo provide analytical support to engine design and developmentprojects, both in-house and externalTo construct models using codes such as GT Suite, and other simulation packagesTo use simulation to investigate and assess alternative concepts anddetermine the optimum configuration for the applicationTo validate models using empirical data, including the testing to obtain theseresultsTo interpret and present simulation results to internal and external teamsTo be responsible for the quality of the simulation results, analysisand reportsTo prepare technical reports and papersTo prepare engineering program quotations specific to PT analysisTo develop analysis capabilities in conjunction with line managersTo maintain a working knowledge of new technologies that may improveoperations, and develop recommendations accordinglyConfer with project staff to outline work-plan and to agree duties,responsibilities, and scope of authority Participate in activities of project personnel to ensure project progress is on schedule and within prescribed budgetMaintain awareness of the Company Quality SystemQualificationsBachelor's and Masters degree in relevant field and ten or more yearsof related experience; or equivalent combination of education andexperienceDemonstrated expertise in engine component and vehicle simulation analysisMust be capable of performing classical based analysis in addition tothe application of established analysis toolsSkills and Experience A thorough knowledge of thermo and fluid dynamics is essential as wellas a good working knowledge of structural analysis - A detailedknowledge of hybrids would be desirableIn depth knowledge and experience of 1D fluid analysis and vehicleprediction simulation (including hybrid vehicles) and modelingpreferably gained within an Automotive OEM or a consultancyWorks effectively with a variety of people such as; management,design, calibration and build engineers, as well as customers and supplier representativesIntimate knowledge of customer processes and proceduresExperience in multiple customer analysis techniques and technologiesAbility to identify, communicate and develop potential businessopportunities for Microsoft Office SkillsArticulate and able to present analysis material to a wide range of audiences
