We invite you to share our passion. TITLE: Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Reporting DEPARTMENT: Finance REPORTS TO: Controller LOCATION: Hybrid, NYC. Employees are expected in the office two days a week, with Wednesday as the core in-office day, and can work from home on the other days. PAY RANGE: $40-$50 per hr WORKING HOURS: M-TH 9-5:30pm EMPLOYMENT TYPE: This role will initially be on a contract basis, with the potential to become permanent after 60 days, offering health benefits. SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES: The Senior Analyst, Financial Planning & Reporting will support our strategic planning, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting activities. Working directly under the Controller, the Analyst will be responsible for creating and maintaining financial models, producing financial reports and presentations, reconciling data, working closely with our accounting team and accounting system Intacct. The candidate will also provide ad hoc financial data and insights to business partners and help the Temporary Controller with pricing projects and long-term strategic planning. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Create and update financial models and projections using Excel and other tools • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports and dashboards • Reconcile data between different sources and systems • Work with the accounting team to ensure data accuracy and completeness • Support the budgeting and forecasting process, monitor and report on variances against plans • Support strategic initiatives, including but not limited to pricing projects and 5-year strategic planning • Provide ad hoc financial analysis and insights to business partners across the organization KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field • 3+ years of experience in FP&A, financial modeling, or financial reporting • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in other financial tools and systems • Solid understanding of accounting and familiarity with GAAP is expected. • Experience with Intacct or similar accounting software • Experience with PowerPoint, creating meaningful financial presentations • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g. Tableau, Sigma) is a plus • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment • Attention to detail and accuracy Equal Employment Opportunity Catalyst expressly prohibits any form of workplace harassment based on race and ethnicity, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, nationality, culture, religion, marital and family status, current unemployment status, physical and mental abilities, age, veteran status, genetics, or any other basis protected by federal, state, or local laws.
