Overview:

The Senior Analyst position will be located at 33 Whitehall Street, this position is hybrid (2x office/3x remote).

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and distribute monthly partner financial report
  • Assist with annual budgeting process and quarterly budget updates based on actual results
  • Liaison with global budget stakeholders and assist with regular meetings and financial reporting needs including guiding them during annual budget preparation and reporting variances
  • Comfortable with explaining and supporting variances to non-financial staff members
  • Monitor firmwide actual versus budget expense performance; identify causes of variance from the budget and provide written commentary on operating results; monthly and annually
  • Research and query an extensive amounts of data
  • Be conductive in ensuring adequate controls and procedures
  • Participate in many aspects of the monthly/quarterly/annual close process (i.e., expense analysis, and trend analysis, variance analysis)
  • Play a part in the groundwork of monthly financial reporting and other business data
  • Skills in problem solving through detailed analysis or with large data sets highly desired
  • Collaborate with other Finance Department members to support overall department goals and objectives
  • Responsible for the accurate preparation of information concerning Firm operations to external organizations
  • Analyze Firm information against peer reports to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Special projects at the request of CFO and other responsibilities as they may be assigned from time-to-time

Salary: $100,000 - $120,000 (DOE)

Qualifications:
  • BA/BS degree in finance/accounting or a related field
  • 3-5+ years experience in financial analysis, focusing on reporting and budgeting
  • Proficient in deploying technology; strong knowledge of implementing financial systems/software tools
  • Strong business acumen
  • Outstanding written and oral communications skill, capable of communicating with all levels of personnel especially management
  • Self-starter; able to prioritize projects for self as well as the team
  • Quality and productivity conscious
  • Excellent people skills Team player
  • Ability to work independently with minimal oversight
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft suite, especially Excel. 3E, Thomson Reuters AFS experience is a plus
